MESSAGE FROM THE FMSFQHRA PRESIDENT BILL CHAMBERS
Hello all,
The first show is under the belts and we are ready for number two in a few short weeks.
I first want to say it was good to see the turn out at that show and would like to welcome the many new members. Secondly, I want to thank Tammie Clippert and Nancy Sams for their hard work and getting things going. The girls are looking forward to getting the program going for the next show. Thirdly, thank you for noting that the parking when we are indoors has been moved back to allow room for the exhibitors at the north end. If you are coming in on Friday nights please set-up camp along the north barns. Also if you need stalls please let Tammie Clippert know or call Jamie at Fischers Stable or myself.
Speaking of the next show, it will June 13th and it will a hosting of the Sho-Me Circuit. A reminder that we have added three 4-H/FFA classes and we had around 13 total entries in these classes. Great to see the youth out there. Good job Trish Gibbons. The June show will start at 8:30 with the cattle classes and we ask that you make sure to get your pre-entries in for this so we will know how many cattle we will need. $20 pre-entry and $25 the day of. These pre-entries need to be to Tammie Clippert by June 8th. Please make note of the date it is due to her not postmarked the 8th. The conformantion/performance classes will not start be for 11:00 a.m. If things go as they did last year we will probably start around 1:00p.m. with these classes. Our judge for this show will be Deb Adams from Nebraska. Deb has in the past judged some of our shows and we welcome her return to us.
I want to remind everyone that we hold our membership meetings during the lunch break at the shows and we would like to see everyone at these meetings so that you can be informed as to what is going on with the affiliate. I think many questions would be answered thus saving some confusion of some things.
A goal of the affiliate is to have fun at our shows and show off the foundation breed of of horses. Many tell us that it is more fun to show, relax, and visit with friends and not worry about who is beating who. Let’s enjoy this opportunity and promote the great affiliate that we are.
See ya’ll June 13th.
Bill
