2010 Yes-r-ree Bob, it’s here and time to get our boots and hats on, and “Get-R-Done”!!!!
Your new officers have taken charge of their duties and things are already in the works for a great year. The show bills are on line now so please download your copy. You will notice that on the April and September show bills the class numbers will not be in numerical sequence. This is due to the software that we will be using and the numbering of the classes have to stay the same for all shows. Where we will not be hosting the Sho-Me group you will notice the gaps in the numbering system, but on the show bill where we host the Sho-Me group they will run in order. Not that hard to figure out just take a good look at them and it will come to light for you. Also, you will notice that when we are outside with the shows we will have classes going on at the same time the Sho-Me group will and we will also be splitting the arena for the halter classes. How can we do this? Glad you asked, we will have our foundation judges and Sho-Me will have their judge so to put it simple, there will be two judges this year for the June and August shows, one for them and one for us. Our foundation judge will judge our “Any Breed” classes as well.
Take note that at each of our shows we will have four jackpot classes in the any breed classes. The class will run together so make sure if you choose to participate you pay a $20 fee in a chance to win part of the 80% payback. We will award the first and second place winners.
For lunch at our April and September shows we will have a carry in. The affiliate will provide the meat and you bring a side dish and your place settings. This is open to all that are participating at the show. A great time for fellowship and we will have our affiliate meeting too.
Make sure you get your raffle tickets for the whole hog or half beef that we are raffling off for a fundraiser. The drawing will take place at our September show. We ask that each member take at least 10 tickets or more and help support our needs.
We need ads for the 2010 Review and we need them ASAP. The publishing date is March 1 so get out there and get some ads to help offset the cost to publish the program. You can email me or call and give me the information and if you can get copy for me that would be great.
Congratulations to Liz Niebruegge for Sho-Me adult high point and Youth high points was Rylea Troesser. We had several of our members place at the SMC banquet as well and congratulations to them too.
April is not far away so get your four legged buddy ready to go and we will see you at Fischer Stables for a great time. We will be taking registration on Friday nights from around 6pm to 8pm so if you want to come in on Friday night and get your registration taken care that would be awesome. It would not only allow you to take your time on Saturday morning, it will aid the show secretary working with our show program. Your first entry form MUST BE COMPLETED IN ITS ENTIRETY FOR THE SHOW PROGRAM. Once you have your horse and your personal information in the show program, it will stay in the system. Shows this year will start at 9:00am sharp!!!!! Come in and camp with us and join in on the bar-b-q and the stories that Christine and Penny have to share!!!! I just sit back and listen?!?!?!?!
Let’s Get-R-Done in 2010.
